Main EPC package for Talcher Thermal Power Project Stage – III (2 x 660MW) was awarded to M/s BHEL on 27.09.2022 and the Bhumi Pujan ceremony for Boiler Unit #1 was held on 20.01.2023. Construction of Boiler foundation involved about 15750 cubic metre of excavation in rock by controlled blasting.

The concreting work for 1st foundation of Boiler Unit #1 started on 18.06.2023 in the presence of Sh. Goutam Deb, ED (TTPS), Sh. R. K. Singh, GM (Project), Sh. Chander Shekhar, GM (Proj Constn-Civil), Sh. Koushik Mandal, GM (Dismantling), Sh. Deepak, GM (Engg.), SH. P K Biswas, (PD-BHEL) and other senior officials of NTPC, BHEL and their construction agency M/s KCPL.
